Indirect tax collection increase by 29.9% during the period of April to July which is mainly due to the high growth in central duty mop up. Indirect tax revenue figures that up to June 2016, the collection of net revenue is 2,71,719 Crore, which is higher when compare to the last year and the previous growth was 2,09,217 Crore. Indirect tax revenue involves collections from customs, excise and service tax. Central revenue collection in first 4 months grew 50.8 percent to 1,23,273 Crores and in the same period last year collected was 81,748 Crores. Service tax revenues in the month of April to July grown up to 25.8 percent to 76,679 Crore as in the last year they have collected 60,974 Crore which details can be gotten by the released statements. Customs revenue collection of certain period has collected 71,767 Crore against 66,495 collected in the last and it showing the percent of 7.9.
