If Lodging returns along with details of the client not match with Australian Taxation office records, then the process will get delayed because they will stop the process to verify this information. Before lodging with client’s returns, you have to do certain things are as follows:
• Confirm details with the clients – especially their addresses and names
• Compare the details which are present on the portal
• Update if any incorrect details
If you are providing details on previous year returns, make sure that the information in the software is correct prior to lodging. If your client’s surname won’t match with the records means they will process by using the last name which is available in their system. For multiple years, you are going to be placing tax returns, make sure that your details are not incorrect on all returns.
